Clear aligners
What if you could have those picture-perfect straight teeth, but minus the metal? Clear aligners that pop out easily and slot back in before anyone notices.
Invisalign is a sequence of clear plastic trays, each shaped a fraction differently from the last. Wear them in order, and your teeth gently follow along. That’s one small shift at a time, until they settle right where you want them to.
Before your first tray is made, your Invisalign dentist maps every movement with 3D software. They grip to your teeth without any fuss and remain discreet throughout treatment.
Our staff plans for all sorts of patient scenarios. We can support you exactly how you’d like.
Enjoy early and late appointment flexibility with our team. We’ll welcome you in for a check-in before or after work!
You know your smile better than anyone, and we don’t presume otherwise. We ask what’s bothering you and plan around that.
We keep the mess out of the office. Our team offers convenient digital scans that give you a better look at expected results.
You’re a mere five steps away from the smile you’ve always envisioned for yourself.
Talk to us transparently about your smile. We’ll confirm whether clear aligners are a good match.
We scan your teeth and map every move in 3D. You’ll see a preview before we get started!
Your trays are made in a series to adapt to your shifting teeth. Each one is shaped to gently move the teeth.
Wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours/day and swap sets every week or two. We check in regularly.
Teeth need additional reinforcement. A custom retainer keeps them in the right position after treatment concludes.
Braces can mean changing your routine to suit your treatment. Invisalign is designed to fit into the life you already lead.
Clear enough that most coworkers won’t notice you’re wearing them
Brush and floss like you always do
Straighter teeth trap less food, so they’re easier to keep clean
No wire poking your cheeks (especially troublesome during a long meeting or a pleasant dinner)
No snapped brackets, which means no surprise repair appointments
Teen aligners have wear indicators that help parents check whether they’re being worn as directed
Enjoy foods like popcorn, sticky caramel, and corn on the cob by simply removing your aligners before eating
For some of our Invisalign patients, treatment starts when those last baby teeth finally fall out. For others, it starts decades after they decided against braces the first time around. We often see parents and teens beginning their smile journeys together. That’s what happens when you’ve been part of Hopkins for years: you get to know the families behind the smiles. At Hopkins Family Dentistry, this is our privilege!
Find us at 1919 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN. That’s an easy drive for families in Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, Edina, and beyond. If you’ve got a question before you walk in, call us at 952-935-2121.

I’ve been coming to this office since I was about 6 with Dr. Boyatt and recently Dr. Avant seamlessly joined the family. It really does feel like family - everyone is so friendly, remembers details about your life, and genuinely cares about their patients. I can’t imagine ever going anywhere else.Posted on Google![]()

Dr. Avant is awesome! I hate going to the dentist, but Christina, Eba, and Dr. Avant are so kind and helpful that I was totally comfortable with my appointment. Excellent service. I asked a lot of questions about dentures and needed help with billing. Eba & Christina were so patient and explained the procedures & billing. I highly recommend Hopkins Family Dentistry!Posted on Google![]()

Had a crown removed to take care of decay underneath it. The process was wonderful and they even were able to make a new crown right there. Love this new technology. Dr Avant and assistant were wonderful and would highly recommend her.Posted on Google![]()

These folks are amazing. A lot of pride in their work. They take care of you. Smaller operation. Real people. Much better than Park Dental or other larger conglomerates.Posted on Google![]()

Hopkins Family Dentistry is a great team that makes Patients # 1. Each person from the front desk to the Hygienists to Dr. Avant all make you feel like they are there to make your visit very special. You leave the office with a very good feeling that the team is there to give me the best service.
Maybe your teeth have shifted since previous treatment. Maybe you’ve noticed your teen’s teeth getting more crowded. Whatever has brought you here, you deserve clear advice about your options.
At Hopkins Family Dentistry, our Invisalign expert, Dr Logan Connor, will take the time to explain your options. If Invisalign fits, you’ll see the timeline and cost up front. A Minnesota native, Dr Connor has a degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. He’ll take the time to answer every question you bring!
The timeline for Invisalign treatment depends on how far your teeth have to move. Closing a small gap can take around six months. Fixing a crowded arch or a bite problem can take 18 months or more. You’ll get a real estimate after your first in-person scan.
Invisalign is mostly comfortable! Each new tray feels snug for a day or two, which is how you know it’s working. Many patients swap trays at bedtime and sleep through the initial feeling of “tightness.” There are no wire ends to scratch your cheeks.
The price of Invisalign depends on your case but can run between $3,000 and $8,000. We’ll give you the actual number at your consultation and walk through payment plans if you don’t have coverage.
Rinse your Invisalign aligners every time you take them out and brush them gently with cool water. Hot water can warp the plastic (so never use the dishwasher!). Brush your teeth before the trays go back in, and keep them in their designated case only.
Invisalign is suitable for teens after their adult teeth come in. However, teens must take care to wear them for 20 to 22 hours a day. Teen trays have wear indicators that fade with use, so you can see whether they’re actually being worn.
Braces stay on until treatment ends. Invisalign trays come out when you eat and brush. Braces can handle some complex movements that aligners can’t, so if your case needs them, our Invisalign specialist will let you know.
During an Invisalign consultation, you’ll discuss your dental goals with your specialist, who will examine your teeth and gums, take a digital scan, and assess your bite. If aligners are suitable, you’ll see a preview of your expected results, along with the estimated treatment time and cost, before deciding whether to proceed.
